Meet The Spring 2022 Team

NewsWatch employs students in varying roles in production of the daily newscast. 

Staff members work daily on the different behind-the-scenes facets of NewsWatch's operation. Staff positions include the Station Manager who leads the team and determines the news content along with the Executive Producer. The Sports Director works with the Sports Reporters and determines the Sports content. The Video Producer and Graphics Producer edit the majority of visual content for the newscast while the Social Media Producer maintains the social media feeds, website, and public relations. Staff positions are chosen once per academic year. You can meet the current staff members on the Staff page. 

Talent are the on-air personalities who work weekly. Anchors write scripts, report on-air, and creating content for the show. News correspondents create their own news packages deliver them during the newscast. Weather reporters are unscripted and quick-thinking as they report the forecast live. Finally, sports reporters creatively merge writing and reporting. Talent auditions take place each semester. Learn more about auditioning for NewsWatch on the Get Involved page.
