University Launches $1.5 Billion Campaign

UNIVERSITY, Miss -- The University of Mississippi publicly launched a fundraising campaign to raise $1.5 billion and increase the school’s endowment to $1 billion. This is the largest comprehensive fundraising campaign in state academic history. 


$1 billion has been raised already toward the goal before the campaign was announced publicly. The University’s endowment at the end of the last fiscal year was $859 million. 


Chancellor Glenn Boyce said, “Gifts to this campaign will help us keep doing what we do best –offering education, experiences and opportunities so that our students can pursue their passions and reach their fullest potential in order to build legacies of fulfilling lives and successful careers.”


The University plans to use the money to increase student scholarships, professor positions, research opportunities, and more. 


The campaign is set to end in June 2025.
